Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Virginia
We helped someone with a place to stay for about two weeks they mess up my house and bacicly dumped there kid off on us we asked that person to leave because of everything all day she waited until she got a ride and left once she walked out of the house we locked the door the cops got called because she called them for not letting her in we let her in she grab some stuff and left for the night do I have to let her back in my house again for the rest of her stuff or is it a civil matter in court
1 Answer from Attorneys
If it's merely letting this person back in for a short period to
retrieve "the rest of her stuff", this option would seem preferable
for a number of reasons rather than your having to appear in
civil court to answer the complaint which she might
possibly file if you continue to remain in possession of her personal property.
