Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Virginia

I am the judgement debtor. My previous landlord is garnishing my wages for August 2009 rent. I have a previous garnishment for repossessment of a vehicle. Can someone tell me if they can take my whole paycheck?

No, no matter how many garnshments are attached to your wages, the total taken from your wages may not exceed 25% of your net salary, ie., what remains after all mandatory deductions, except in certain circumstances where the garnishment is for back child support. (See Va. Code Sec. 34-29.)
