Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Virginia
I have a judgement against a former tenant for unpaid rent. How long do I have in VA to file for garnishment of wages? Does the judgement become null/void after a few years? My particular case: judgement recieved back in 2002. Can I garnish wages now? I just found information on the person.

Assuming this judgment was awarded in the general district court, it is good
for 10 years from date of entry, and, yes, you can garnish the judgment debtor's wages as long as the judgment remains valid.
