Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Virginia

landlord dispute

I took my former landload to court for refusal to return security deposit. We went before mediation and a payment agreement less than what I was asking was reached. He never paid anything and was a no-show in court. The judge awarded me the full amount plus 6%. I recently found my landload in NJ. What can I do now? Is there a statute of limitations? Thank you kindly.

Re: landlord dispute

You could probably enroll the Virginia judgment with the appropriate court in New Jersey, and then

undertake appropriate actions to enforce it in that state.
