Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Virginia
My landlord is trying to evict me because I'm almost 3 months behind. He has sent me emails notifying me that he is going to the police and to the court of law. I haven't been served no paper yet. I am trying to find a place ASAP but it is hard with so little time. I just want to know if he can really kick me out with 24 hours like he claims. And how long do I really have until I need to vacate the property? I am in Fairfax County, VA.

You must leave your rental premises by the date indicated on the formal eviction
order/notice issued by a judge of your local general district court which has either been properly served upon your person or posted upon your door---and not any time before.
