You have several remedies if your landlord is unable to provide essential services. Your landlord cannot use your demand to provide these services as a basis to remove you from the property. However, there are numerous reasons he could evict you from the property. For example if you are on a month to month lease or there is a provision in your lease term that only requires the landlord to give you 30 days notice of his intent to terminate the lease then he could evict you for that purpose.
