If a landlord mails a tenant's security deposit refund to an address provided by the tenant and the envelope comes back marked "Not at this address," how long is a landlord expected or required to hold the deposit until eventually contacted by the former tenant?

A reasonable time would probably be at least a year (in my opinion).
