My landlord sued me for back rent and lost. Can I sue him for what he was asking for?

Depends upon whether you have a credible legal basis for such a suit which

would not be merely because he sued you.

Furthermore, if there is such a legal basis, it should have been filed as a counterclaim to the landlord's claim in his original lawsuit.
