I am behind on my rent payments. My landlord has been very understanding, but I'm worried he is about to evict. I havent received anything written yet. What is the process he will go through? How long do I have?

Would seem to depend upon how quickly he wants you out of the unit. If you're now delinquent in your rent, the landlord could serve you with a "5 DAY PAY OR QUIT" notice at any time.
