Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Virginia

Landlord/Tentant Problem Follow Up.

In the reply I received, this was stated....

''Chances are that what was orally agreed to between you and the landlord was merely an extension of the written lease on a month to month basis which you originally signed before you moved in.''

However, I signed No Lease what-so-ever. No documentation of any kind was ever signed, before or after I moved in.

Re: Landlord/Tentant Problem Follow Up.

There had to have been some kind of agreement to lease and if there was nothing specifically in writing, then the Virginia Residential Landlord Tenant Act(VRLTA) may have governed your tenancy(found in Title 55 of the Va. Code).
