Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Virginia
Lost due to Incompetant Lawyer, Can I appeal?
Hi,
I filed lawsuit against my landlord for not fulfiling lease agreement to Sublease, and my landlord came back with a cross bill against me for trash and junk cars, he won the case based on the trash and Junk cars, the junk cars and trash was not even mine, My land lord was taken to court by Stafford County Zoning Officials due to a Complaint that I had made to the county about his junk yard operation, but the landlords lawyer was good and a friend of the judge ( buddy ... buddy ) ...
The Junk Yard operation that was a complain the zoning was another tenant's lot and not part of my lease, but my land lord had hired a contractor to cut a junk trailer in pieces, that belonged to him, and cutted the trailer in pieces and but everything in the back of the property which I was leasing, so I complaint to the zoning after several request from my landlord to clean it, which he did not. NOW at the TRAIL I got the blame that it was my junk, even my landlord agreed to it, but the judge said there was more junk than the trailer trash such tires only a few (6-8). and one pick up truck camper, which did not even belonged to me. anyhow, my lawyer failed badly, can I appeal due to incompetent lawyer which he did not bring forward evidences.

You can appeal what is presumably a decision of
a judge of the Stafford Co. General District Court to the Circuit Court within 10 days of the decision.
However, to support your appeal you had better have more to your case that the alleged incompetence of your attorney.
