I own a hair salon in a shopping strip.

I received papers to sign from landlord.

What are these papers???

Title - First Amendment to Subordination, Non-Disturbance and Attornment Agreement.

Basically, very likely, something to the effect that any new mortage lender involved in financing the strip mall where your hair salon is now located will agree to continue to honor the provisions of your current lease as long as you agree to accept this new lender as your landlord and do not default on any of the provisions of your current lease.

Without reviewing them, it is not possible to be certain. Based on the title, they relate to an existing similar instrument in which the tenant has agreed to allow a lender for the landlord to have certain rights. It would seem that something already exists ("amendment"). An attorney can explain the details.
