Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Virginia
Hi, I recently moved out of my apt and the landlord is trying to keep all of my security deposit even though the only damage to the place is normal wear and tear. If i was to seek litigation how would i prove my side?

File your case in small claims court for the return of your deposit +
the cost of the filing. You could offer photos of the unit showing
its condition at various stages in your tenancy and particularly
at the point of your departure. You could also submit affidavits of persons
who had occasion to observe the condition of the unit or bring them
to court to testify for you on this issue.
