i am renting a basement apt. I do not have a lease. my verbal agreemt is to pay half on the first and half on the 15. sometines i am late as much as ten days. never more than that. Can she evict me?

Yes, unless this agreement allows you to be late up to
10 days on each due date (my opinion).
