Should new roomate have to pay?

There are two roommates (RM), RM1 decides to move out and RM2 finds a new roommate. RM1 pays rent in full for the month knowing they won't be there but 2 weeks out of the that month. RM2 allows their new roommate to move in since the space was empty. Should the new roommate have to pay RM1 for moving in one week early since RM1 paid for the entire months rent?
