Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Virginia
Selling Former roommate's stuff?
Can I legally sell items left behind by a former roommate who moved out? The former roommate has been asked repeatedly to come get it, but has made no attempt to do so, and it has been nearly two years since he moved out. I should also mention that the former roommate still owes me a considerable amount of money from rent and utilities.

Re: Selling Former roommate's stuff?
Sell it all or otherwise dispose of this apparently abandoned property forthwith, keeping whatever records that you may have of your unavailing requests to this former roommate to come and pick it up.
