Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Virginia
signed a lease and put down a $500 deposit but before moving in i lost my job and notified the landlord of this. the landlord stated because i didnt give him a 30 day notice he would be keeping that deposit. can he do this since i never occupied the premises.
