Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Virginia
I have a single family home that I rent out in Fauquier County Virginia. I am now in the process of evicting the tenants for non-payment of rent and have filed an Unlawful Detainer which they are fighting. Can I make the UD public? I would like to take out an ad in the local newspaper letting everyone know that these people are deadbeats. Can I?

Likely a bad idea which could result (depending upon how ill-advisedly
this ad might be worded) in your finding yourself the subject of a
defamation suit.
Such matters are normally already a matter of public record with the court in which they have been filed.
