Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Virginia
My son lived with me for over 2 years and never paid rent. While I wanted him out he moved out on his on about 2 weeks ago. He put a deposit on a room and moved out. He called and said he wanted to move back I said no (I think he was engaged in illegal activities in my home). He stated that since he was gone less than 30 days he has the right to move back.
This doesn't sound right. Is it?

No, it is not right. Tell this freeloader who has now vacated your premises that you consider his former alleged "tenancy in gratis" now irretrievably terminated and that he should "TAKE A HIKE"----away from your home--and probably keep going whatever way that may be.
