subpoena a defendants acquaintance

Can I request the contact info from the defendant, for her previous maintenance man that worked for the defendant during time in question? If so, how do I go about doing that. I have been back to the town asking random people at the local Fire Dept, restaurant, if the know him. The problem is, I only know him as ''JD'' I don't have a last name.

You make the request for the name and contact information to the defendant's attorney. If the defendant is not represented by counsel, then you can contact him or her directly for it.
