Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Virginia

Tenants and Landlords

We have done a lot of work to the rental that we were living in because the lanlord led us to believe that we would eventually buy the house. Then the landlord evicts us for no reason and wont let us buy the house. Can we sue for the money to cover the repairs and remodeling that we have done to the rental property?

Re: Tenants and Landlords

I would doubt that you could sue successfully to recover for these kinds of expenditures unless there's some provision somewhere in your lease which might allow for it (not too likely).
