Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Virginia
Vrlta § 55-248.21:1
I am a civil servant working for the Navy. I will be deployed overseas on orders for 6 months. My landlord will not let me terminate my 12 month lease 3 months early.
Do I qualify for the early lease termination described in the Virginia Residential Landlord and Tenant Act (VRLTA) § 55-248.21:1?

Apparently not, as the provision of the Virginia Residential Landlord Tenant Act(VRLTA) which you've cited specifies that the Civilian technician
must be employed with the National Guard. It says nothing about such a technician employed with the U.S. Navy or other service branches as qualifying for this early termination procedure described in Sec. 55-248.21:1(B).
