Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Virginia

Three young women are renting a college apartment. One female roommate has an unwanted male living in without permission from the 2 other females on the lease. He is not on the lease and does not pay any rent or utilities. The two other female roommates want him out. He's eating their food and using their utilities without consent. He speaks and acts rudely, in a demeaning manner. The female who has invited him in will not put him out as requested and refuses to discuss any arrangement for getting him out. How can they get rid of him?

What dies the lease itself have to say about this situation, i.e., allowing interlopers who have not been approved by the landlord to come and occupy the leased premises? Your roommate may already be in material violation of the lease by inviting this person into your shared rental, and, in consequence thereof, the landlord may be in a position to evict them both once s/he is informed of the situation.
