Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Virginia

Auto Concern

I lease a car from a dealership in VA, but live in DC. The Tags and Title paperwork was a mess. I requested transfer of personalized plates to the new car. They gave me new plates, After waiting over 45 days, (2) 30 day temp tags and having to get visitor parking for being a DC resident. Then visitor tags expired, which meant the car was illegal for the state I lived for almost a week. Now they tell me they can not find my registration for the old vechicle and I will have to apply for new personalized tags. This was all their mistake, do I have any recourse? The dealership does not seem to care to much about getting this corrected.

Re: Auto Concern

"Do I have any recourse", you ask? Your recourse, unfortunately, for the situation which you've described is likely limited to finding another dealership that is more efficient in keeping track of its paperwork next time you need to lease a vehicle.
