auto loan given on salvage title

What are my rights against a bank in Va if they gave me a secured loan for an auto i purchased from a private seller in Fl, which has a salvage title. I was unaware of it and didn't do a carfax. The bank did ask for vin# before issuing a loan. Tried to trade in vehicle and no one will take it because of it having a salvage title. I asked the bank recently if they did loans on salvage titles and they said no. its in writing and has been in place for 5yrs. I recieved the loan september of 07

I would doubt that the bank is responsible under these circumstances for your purchase of this vehicle with a compromised title.
