Entitled to Refund?
I had registered my daughter with a small, local cheerleading squad. The contract states ''no refunds, no exceptions''. This was mainly put together based on families leaving before one year and wanting money back. In our case, 2 weeks after paying almost 200.00 in fees ($60 towards registration) the coaches stepped down because of their own issues and schedule and now I am out of that money, but mainly the $60.00. My daughter didn't even have a full 2 weeks of practice as 2 out of 3 practices in the second week were canceled. Would I be successful if I tried to sue for my $$ since she has not responded to my polite request made over one week ago?

Re: Entitled to Refund?
Before you get to filing a lawsuit in your local small claims court, you would be well advised to send a written demand notice for a refund, explaining that the contract failed through no fault of your own and you believe that under these circumstances that this is one exception which does in fact entitle you to a refund of the monies which you paid to enroll your daughter in this program.
