Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Virginia
pay increase is lower than what was offered when I applied
I've recently been promoted but management is stalling on what my actual increase will be. Before taking on this responsibility my direct supervisor told me what the pay increase would be if I decided to apply. I was told this amount several times and now I've been offered the position but they're saying that because of what I already make they may not be able to give me the pay increase that I was initially told (on several occasions). Is this legal?
