In the state of Virginia don't the law have to read you your maranda rights when they arrest you?

Yes, the "law" should read the person who has been taken into custody his or her Miranda rights, but if it doesn't happen (which is quite often) that doesn't invalidate nor mean that the arrest was illegal.
