Legal Question in Legal Malpractice in Virginia

Legal Malpractice in VA

Had an atty representing me for a year in a divorce case. There were numerous instances of neglect throughout that year. One of the larger ones was that he failed to respond to interrogatories (they were suppose to be returned in 2 weeks, I supplied all info, and he did not comply until 6 months later - and after I fired him).

In addition to other things, having never filed a request to an ED hearing also cost me severly when I found that my ex was going to rescind his, the judge would not allow my new atty to file one, and I would be left with nothing.

I feel I need a malpractice atty to represent me (I have a case under investigation w/the Bar Assn as do atleast 3 other parties against the same atty). Any advice or offers of representation would be appreciated!

Re: Legal Malpractice in VA

The better approach would likely be to await the outcome of your bar complaint before initiating any litigation against this alleged "mal-practitioner".
