Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Virginia
Dentist Hugged and Kissed Me
First visit to this dentist, I was in semi-recline position in chair when he entered the room and gave me a big ''bear-hug'' and kissed me on the cheek. His right arm rested across my breasts. During procedure he said I was a ''great patient'' and kissed me again on the right cheek. When I was getting ready to leave, he cradled my head in his hands and kissed me closer to my mouth but still on my cheek.
I was too shocked at this behavior to respond; but now I can't get over my anger, crying and feeling like I was taken advantage of again! Do I have any legal grounds to take this dentist to court?

Re: Dentist Hugged and Kissed Me
The "bear hug" which you've described might well constitute the tort of battery (an unprivileged touching). There could be other charges as well.
At the very least you should make a written report to the state board which licenses and regulates this particular dental practitioner.
