Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Virginia
My previous dentist may have messed up
I went to the dentist, whom I have been seeing for 2 months. My back tooth broke. He started working on it, did an xray and found that the last two teeth needed root canals. He got in there and the second to last tooth's root has been decayiny for some time. He showed me the spot on the xray. It was way up near the sinus. It just so happens that I have been getting really bad headaches and have had all these doctors appt's, CT scans of the sinuses and so on for the last several months to find out why I have been in such pain for so long (about a year).
I had gone to my last dentist about the sensitivity in the last two teeth and a few xrays were done, but mostly I was told there is nothing wrong.
Is there any legal recourse?

Re: My previous dentist may have messed up
Probably not. You have not yet put forth any credible evidence that whatever your dentist did(or failed to do) with respect to the root canals is in any meaningful way connected to your current problem with headaches, and that the care which he provided fell below the standard of
care for treating root canals which prevailed in the community at the time the care was provided.
