Legal Question in Military Law in Virginia
Felony
I have a Dishonorable discharge from th military from a dui car wreck resulting in a death. I have no civilian convictions and I would like to know if I am considered a felon in Va.

The quality of your discharge suggests that you were convicted by a court martial. IF that is the case, the type of court martial likely determines whether you are a felon or a misdemeanant.
Generally, General Court Martial is considered to be a felon, special or summary court martial is considered misdemeanor, but different states apply different rules. You should probably seek an opinion from a local attorney on this question.
