Legal Question in Personal Injury in Virginia
assaut
I was questioned by the detective and he questioned my statements made to the officers after he spoke with my exhusband and staff at the local tavern. He said that the remarks made by them and the evidence did not add up to what I was saying and that he could arrest me for perjury. I was so upset that my exhusband and fellow neighbors would make the comments as well as the staff at the tavern and told the detective fine nothing happened. The comments and accusations made by the detective were so hurtful and shocking and it took me right back to my 21 year marriage to a very controlling and mean man. He wants me to take a polygraph test on Monday and I've discussed this with my family and they feel I should just let it go. I am planning on moving from my local residence to a new place in the next week. I want to call and let the officer know of my decision is this the right thing to do?

Re: assaut
What's this confused(and confusing) mishmash of a narrative all about? Some kind of a criminal charge involving assault, perhaps?
