I was in an auto accident in 1989, a court judgement was placed against, me is there a statue of limitation

There is a 20 year statute of limitations on collection of judgments, but it can be extended by motion filed by the judgement creditor, with notice to the debtor, within that 20 year period, followed by entry of an order of the court to extend the limitation period.
