Legal Question in Personal Injury in Virginia

Auto Accident

I was involved in an auto accident where i was hit by 2 different vehicles. A drunk driver hit me in the front and down the driver side then hit the car behind me which hit me from the rear. Am I allowed to go after both drivers? My lawyer only sued the insurance company of the drunk driver and never did anything with the man that hit me from behind. I am still having problems and would like to know if I can sue his insurance also.

Re: Auto Accident

If the driver who hit you from behind did so through no fault of his own, you would have no basis to sue him. However, you should take this matter up with the lawyer you retained to sue the insurance company. He or she should be able to determine whether there was any culpability on the part of the driver to the rear sufficient to constitute legal liability on his part and a basis for a possible suit against this person.
