Legal Question in Personal Injury in Virginia
automobile accident
My wife and I were involved in a rear end collision. We were setting at a stop light. When the light turned green the person hit us knocking us about 6 feet. As we both turned to see what happened he hit us again pushing us out into the intersection hooked to our rear end. My wife was driving and had to turn to the right to free ourself. My wife was taken to the hospital for injuries that occured not on the first hit but the second hit when we both turned to see what happened. The whiplash was not front to back but side to side. She is now going through therapy. She is still able to work but has pain now where she didn't have before.I myself was sore for a couple of days but seem to be alright. I just get the jitters when I see a tractor trailer behind us. By the way thats what hit us. The damage to the car was around 6000.00 dollars which was only a year old with 6700 miles on it. We traded it for another car. Her therapy bills along with her doctor bills are around 7000.00 dollars.I don't want to be greedy but I would like to know what a fair settlement would be for both me and her.
Thanks

Re: automobile accident
Try the property damage + all of the medical costs including a reasonable estimate for future treatment and therapy for your wife + three times these "meds" for her pain and suffering.
