Legal Question in Personal Injury in Virginia
civil obligation
I became very ill while driving my car. I was having difficulty breathing. My passenger grabed the steering wheel and lead us to the first business we saw to get help. It was a large chain convient store. My friend was barley helped me in and we both collapsed to the floor just inside the door. my friend was yelling for the store clerks to call 911. he continued to tell them i could not breath. They did nothing, but watched us from behind the counter. It was 3 clerks in the store. They continued business as usual. Some customers had to step over me. This incident might have been caught on their camera. It was the most scarry day of my life to think that I was not going to get any help. After 15 minutes a customer went to his car for his cell phone and called 911. I was taken to the hospital. I suffered physically and emotionally to this time 1 month ago. I am under treatment. Do I have a action against the employers or company?

Re: civil obligation
No, probably not, but it would seem that a letter of complaint to the manager of this store with a copy to company headquarters and the local news media would be in order. (Generally, as a matter of law, there is no duty or obligation on the part of one fellow citizen to come to the aid of another.)
