Legal Question in Personal Injury in Virginia

My boyfriend was beat badly when he was in jail, because of his crime he should have been placed on the protective custody tier. This didn�t happen. Long story short, he wants to sue the jail/state because of their negligence. He is no longer in jail, but has suffered some serious injuries. How would he go about suing and who is a good lawyer he could get in contact with?

Your boyfriend likely has two years to file his lawsuit from the date his injuries were incurred while he was in the custody of jail authorities.

The local bar association in the local city or county where he resides should be able to provide a few names of attorneys who might possibly be interested in representing him.
