Legal Question in Personal Injury in Virginia

Dealerships

I was wondering if I had grounds to sue the dealership that sold my husband two cars. Last Feb. my husband was acting strange so I contracted the mental health people and his dr about this at the same time he had lost his job, he went to this de4alership and brought a car when I found out I called the dealership and asked them not to release the car to him due to the fact that he was out of a job he had mental health problems and I was getting him helpand the check that he had given them was no good. after a day or two I called them back to ask why they gave him the car and they told me it didn't concern me my name was not on it and he was a grown man. A week later he had the car inpounded and went back to the dealership and got another car. We are having to file bankruptcy now due to the bills after the cars were sold. He has been found to be bi-polar and was on the wrong meds which caused him to go over the bend. Do we have grounds to sue. Thank you Frankie

Re: Dealerships

The scenario which you've outlined is moderately confusing, in particular with respect to this sentence: " A week later he had the car inpounded(sic) and went back to the dealership and got another car." Until the facts and circumstances are further clarified with respect to your husband's actions referenced in this sentence (as well as any which you may have undertaken on your own), it's unlikely that any reliable opinion could be provided as to the viability of any cause of action which either of you may (or may not) have against the dealership. Undoubtedly, any attorney evaluating this matter would also need to see all of the relevant documents connected with the purchases of these vehicles along with all of the medical evidence documenting your husband's condition(s)at the time he entered into the contracts to purchase the

aforementioned automobiles.
