Legal Question in Personal Injury in Virginia

i was involved in an accident and had to seek legal advice can my lawyer request more than 1/3 of the settlement.also shouldnt the lawer try to obtain settlement from my insurance company as well as the driver that caused the accident/

Yes, if you agree. The lawyer may attempt to obtain settlement from whomever or whatever s/he is legally entitled to do so. (The so-called DEEP

POCKETS, however, are normally the first to receive lawyerly scrutiny for such settlement demand/negotiations in these kinds of situations.)
