Legal Question in Personal Injury in Virginia

If a lawyer dismisses you on a lawsuit case does he still obtain a fee and being that he dismissed me can i still hire another lawyer?

You certainly can hire another lawyer. If he fired you, he may not be entitled to a fee--it really depends upon the circumstances. If a lawyer is no longer your lawyer when a case is settled or a verdict rendered, and if he is entitled to a fee at all, he will only be entitled to recover the value of his work.
