You have 2 years in which to file your lawsuit. Unfortunaely you may have a closed head injury. But I am not a doctor. You may want to consider seeing a neurologist. You should consult with an experienced personal injury attorney in your area

The seven month delay in claiming injury will be attacked by the insurance company as evidence that the accident and injury are not related. To effectively counter that attack, it is important that you employ experienced counsel.

Re: limitations in an auto accident

The statute of limitations in Va. for personal injury claims is 2 years, so no, you are not too late. You should see a lawyer immediately, though, to make sure that your rights are protected. Do not speak directly with the insurance co.
