How long do I have to file and which state do I need to file?

how long do I have to file a personal injury lawsuit from an auto accident that occured in Virginia and I live in Maryland. The driver borrowed his brothers company vehicleso it is covered under his companies policy. The business is in Virginia.

Two years from the date of the accident. You file in the state where the accident occurred.
