Legal Question in Personal Injury in Virginia
Privacy Laws and Life Insurance
I have a compliated situation but wanted to ask a simple question. My father passed away recently and I was the beneficiary of his Life Insurance. Instead of sending the paperwork to me, they sent the paperwork to the executor (his brother), who is constantly bothering me to give money to other family members. The complicated part. He was terminated (Illegally), three days before he passed away, the Life insurance was paid until the end of September (he died Sept 17th). I am not looking to get rich, but I want to know if I have an actionable offence to recoup the life insurance based on privacy laws being violated, AND based on the fact that he was fired illegally.

Re: Privacy Laws and Life Insurance
Your question is confusing as it's not clear as to whether the insurance carrier actually paid the policy on your father's life or what you mean by "actionable offence(sic) to recoup the life insurance based upon privacy laws being violated", none of which makes any sense at all.
Nor would you have any valid cause of action for your claim that your deceased father was "fired illegally".
You might, however, wish to arrange for a consultation with an attorney who's conversant with the various issues involved with your question and who may be able to further clarify this situation for you.
