what is the best way to protect a family from being sued for an accident on a trampoline?

If the accident has already happened, there's no legal solution to stopping a lawsuit.

If it has not, the simplest, and least effective would be to require an written waiver of liability from anyone using the trampline. More effective would be to not let anyone else use it. Most effective would be to dismantle the trampoline.
