Legal Question in Personal Injury in Virginia

Possible slander

I work in an office that completes tax returns. Someone called the administrator and told them I was taking copies of tax returns from the office and had given them to someone else. Does the freedom of information act allow for me to ask the name of the person that made the complaint? This has made my work environment very awkward. What should I do once I find out who it was. Their accusation was completely false.

Re: Possible slander

This question in a slightly different format has already been submitted and answered. Regarding an FOIA request to secure the name, I doubt that such information could be obtained under this law, but you might wish to consult with the county attorney or other legal counsel who is available to advise your particular agency.
