Can i sue for back injury at work with no workers compensation?

A worker who is injured on the job must normally accept

his or her redress through the applicable worker's compensation program.

However, if the employer failed to be properly covered by such

worker's compensation, then the employer could be personally liable

to the worker for such injuries incurred while at work.
