employment-related 3rd party claim
Generally speaking, you can sue a third party whose negligence injures you, even though you were working at the time. However, if you were out of work and received federal employees' compensation, the government has a potential claim for reimbursement of what they paid you and on your behalf for medical expenses. The government would reduce its reimbursement to account for your legal expenses. If you wish to contact me directly for further discussion, I can be reached at 301 986-4555.
