Legal Question in Product Liability in Virginia
Equipment Rental
We rented a backhoe from a company...during use it got stuck...called company and they sent two workers...they pulled it out and broke a piece on the bucket...the company is saying we have to pay for it even though they broke it...is this fair or legal? Please help

No, it does not sound fair, but your alleged liability for the broken bucket may well depend upon what the terms of your rental contract may have to say regarding this issue(if anything).
