Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia

After 8 months, I was informed that my HOA fees in my Payment Coupon Book are incorrect. Now the HOA wants me to pay the difference for the last 8 months and if it's not paid, I will be charged a late fee.

So, agree to pay the difference (in installments--if necessary) but request a waiver of the late fee since apparently you're not at fault for this situation.
